Answers About Our Savannah Tourism Offerings

For those planning visits to Savannah, we’ve compiled the answers to some of the most common questions we hear from our guests. Go into your planned Outside Savannah activities with confidence by reading about tours, reservations, cancelations, and more.

Tours depart from The Westin. Please meet your captain in the lobby at least 15 minutes prior to departure to check in. The Westin is located at 1 Resort Drive, Savannah, GA 31421.

We recommend passengers wear weather-appropriate clothing suitable for water activities. On any excursion, we welcome our passengers to bring snacks and beverages on board! Please note: Any containers made of glass are strictly prohibited for the safety of all passengers.

If the weather will make a program unsafe or unenjoyable (heavy rain, high winds, lightning, etc.), our team will make the decision to reschedule the tour. Please note: The weather in Coastal Georgia changes often, so we make the decision about inclement weather ONE HOUR prior to the scheduled departure time. If inclement weather causes your trip to be canceled, our team will call you to reschedule or cancel and issue a refund.

YASS! We have lots of adventure options for bachelorette/bachelor parties. Our boat can hold up to 16 passengers, and we have options to do private excursions from a 90-minute sunset tour to 5- or 7-hour customized day trips! Learn more about our private adventure options below.

Yes! It is common to spot Atlantic bottle-nosed dolphins in the Savannah River. It is possible to see dolphins and other wildlife on any of the dolphin cruise excursions along the historic Savannah River. Wildlife may vary depending on the weather conditions and time of year.

There are benefits to going out at any time of day! Whether it’s the history you’ll learn or the wildlife you see, there’s not a time of day that is not ideal to be on the water. Wild Atlantic bottlenose dolphin are active in our local waters throughout the day, regardless of time or tide.

Outside offers programs 365 days of the year. Each season in the Lowcountry has distinctive advantages, though any time of year in Georgia is a great time to experience the area’s nature, culture, and history. Our retail store is open 363 days a year and closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Reservations may be cancelled up to 48 hours before departure for a full refund. If the weather will make a program unsafe or not enjoyable, our team will make the decision about one hour prior to the scheduled departure time. Reservations that are cancelled due to weather will be offered to reschedule or a full refund.
